This is way sooooooooo true. Back to the start of Twenty Ten, I started understanding what do the relationships actually mean on this terrestrial-earthly-world. And this poetry seriously fits well..
Have a read, I know you’ll enjoy it 🙂 [hope ya’ll don’t dislike poetry like me used to do. Good old days ahh! :/]
It’s by some poet named Aitbaar Sajid (Sajid sahab aap pe b hum ney kerliya aitbaar ;)) who thinks [very rightly] that in life we don’t get WHAT [people is the focus] we WANT and mostly get what we do NOT like – So here it goes:
Jo khayal they na qayas they wohi log mujh sey bichar gaye,
Jo mohabbaton ki asaas they, wohi log mujh sey bichar gaye.
Jinhain maanta hi nahi ye dil, wohi log merey hain hamsafar,
Mujhey har terha sey jo raas they, wohi log mujh sey bichar gaye.
Mujhey lamha bhar ki rifaqaton key saraab bohat satayen gey,
Meri umar bhar ki jo pyaas they wohi log mujh sey bichar gaye.
Ye jaal sarey hain aarzi ye gulaab sarey hain kaghzi,
Gul-e-arzoo ki jo baas they wohi log mujh sey bichar gaye.
Jinhain ker saka na kubool mai Wohi shareek-e-raah safer huey,
Jo meri talab meri aass they wohi log mujh sey bichar gaye.
Meri dharkanon key kareeb they meri chah they mera khuaab they,
Wo jo roz-o-shab merey pass they wohi log mujh sey bichar gaye!
Few years back when I was a sophomore, one day some student(who had just gone through the typical teenage break-up phase) started complaining about how worst can life turn into at times and I was trying hard to stop my laughter at his stupidities and tell him HOW to LIVE a LIFE – But seems its hard, it’s miserable and well it’s an abyss – You simple CANNOT protect yourself every time – Oh darn did that imply something ? No folks! You aint always right at guessing 😉
P.S. My English – like my ancestors’ – sucks, add the spices of not-so-good URDU and here comes No-Translated poetry – Look I take great time in even understanding poets/poetry/songs/singers, how come you expected me to translate it bleh!
